From the North on the A19, take A181 Wingate/Castle Eden slip road, turn right and after 1 mile take slip road, turn left at top and right at Co-op.

From the South on A19, take A181 Wingate/Castle Eden slip road, turn left at top and after 1 mile take slip road, turn left at top and right at Co-op.

If coming from the West ( Durham direction) on the A181, go past the Wheatley Hill service station and after a mile, take the slip road on the left, turn right at the top and right again at the Co-oP and go to the end of the road.

The gate to the wood is on the left hand side.

There is a car park but if this is full, please park tidily.
